New Years Day 2006. Writing and recording commenced in a new studio on the 3rd full length breathingunderwater album. Working through studio renovations under the working title "Shift", progress was initially slow. 9 months and 24 songs later, r[evolve] was completed.

For various reasons in August of 2006, 8 years to the month since it's creation, breathingunderwater became This Theory of Static. With a new name and album the descision was then made for a new band, with Buckleigh and Young joined by keyboardist|programmer Adam Vink, Drummer Luke Hale and Bassist Matt Burling in June 2007.

The band are currently rehearsing and putting the finishing touches on the next album "Electricity" due 2008.
